Building Lasting Change for Oklahoma’s under-Served Communities

In Fall 2019, Red River is planning to launch a new AmeriCorps State Program, Oklahoma Opportunities. The Oklahoma Opportunities Program will place AmeriCorps members in partner agencies serving rural and under-served communities across Oklahoma. Members will provide direct and indirect services to build capacity in partner organizations by helping to improve and expand their service deliveries. The goal of the Oklahoma Opportunities AmeriCorps Program is to to expand opportunities related to educational attainment and employment for individuals across Oklahoma.

In it’s first year, the Oklahoma Opportunities Program aims to place 18 AmeriCorps members at non-profit organizations serving rural and under-served communities across Oklahoma. Members will be able to build new ways to make a lasting impact in their communities.

Organizations

Applications for organizations to host AmeriCorps Members though the Oklahoma Opportunities program will be available in Spring 2019. Host site agencies will receive training and support to help make sure they are able to make the most their AmeriCorps partnership.

2019-2020 Host Site Applications

Applications to host Oklahoma Opportunities AmeriCorps Members are due by 5:00 pm June 14, 2019.

Host site awards will be sent out mid to late July. All awards are pending availability of grant funds.
