Current Openings


The following are national service opportunities working with partner agency sites as part of the Red River Community Corps' AmeriCorps VISTA program. AmeriCorps VISTA is a full time, 12 month long commitment to alleviate poverty. VISTA Members will receive a small living allowance and benefits during service. At the completion of the term, Members are eligible to receive an educational award or a living stipend. Learn more about serving with VISTA here.

 

Marketing Coordinator at Camp Fire USA Green Country  -Tulsa

Camp Fire Green Country helps children and youth receive the confidence, social emotional skills, and support they need to break the cycle to poverty through out-of-school time, small group mentoring, and outdoor opportunities. The VISTA project will build capacity by creating community awareness and developing marketing materials and opportunities.

Resource Development Coordinator at camp fire USA Green Country  -Tulsa

Camp Fire Green Country helps children and youth receive the confidence, social emotional skills, and support they need to break the cycle to poverty through out-of-school time, small group mentoring, and outdoor opportunities. The VISTA project will build capacity by helping assess, implement, and track the donor development and stewardship plan.

Development Associate at Junior Achievement  -Tulsa

Development Associate at Junior Achievement  -Oklahoma City

The ultimate goal for the Development Associate VISTA is to help break the cycle of poverty in central Oklahoma by increasing the number of K-12 students who have access to education on practical financial practices, researching and applying for jobs, or learning what is involved in starting their own business. The Junior Achievement VISTA Development Associate will accomplish this by increasing fundraising dollars and classroom volunteers by identifying and securing new corporate and foundation partners.

Special Programs development Coordinator at Meals on Wheels  -Tulsa

Meals on Wheels help to ensure that isolated and food insecure individuals have access to food and other resources that will help them overcome barriers of poverty, achieving a future of improved health, safety, and independence. The Special Programs Development Coordinator VISTA will build capacity by developing and implementing new systems for resource ancillary programs and develop new avenues of community outreach, fundraising, event planning, and grant writing.

VISTA Capacity Building Associate at Our Daily Bread Food and Resource Center   
-Stillwater

VISTA Members will seek to develop collaborative partnerships for two goals: to recruit and retain a strong volunteer base; and to identify un-served or under-served populations, strengthen community support for initiatives addressing food insecurity and health, and provide a broad range of resources that help lift a family out of the cycle of poverty.

Public Relations VISTA at Right Path Riding Academy  -Drumright

The VISTA will build capacity to The Right Path by developing a sustainable fundraising plan to continue & grow its current programs: 1.) Ensure disabled children from impoverished areas receive the emotional/therapeutic support needed to have productive lives (therapeutic riding); 2.) Improve employment opportunities by combating low literacy among children living in poverty; 3.) Eliminate barriers to moving teens out of poverty by giving them tools to deal with social/educational hurdles and helping them have a higher quality of life as adults; 4.) Give disabled veterans a new outlook on life & helping heal the effects of depression, strengthening veteran families and breaking the cycle of destruction.

Board Openings

Red River Community Corps' Board of Directors is always looking for dedicated individuals to serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Selected Board Members will serve a 2-year term to provide governance to the organization.
