Working towards a stronger, healthier Oklahoma
In Fall 2019, Red River will launch a new AmeriCorps State Program, Healthy Futures Okalahoma. The Healthy Futures Oklahoma Program will place AmeriCorps members in communities across the State of Oklahoma who will support a variety of nutrition education and physical activity initiatives. The goal of the Healthy Futures Oklahoma AmeriCorps Program is to provide opportunities that help eliminate barriers in order to give participants greater control over their health choices and move healthy intentions into action.
Partner With Us
Healthy Futures Oklahoma aims to place 45 AmeriCorps members at non-profit organizations who will deliver nutrition education classes, support enrollment in food assistance programs, assist in food delivery at food pantries & farmers markets, support community garden programs & implement physical activity programs in communities across Oklahoma.
Applications for organizations to host AmeriCorps Members though the Healthy Futures Oklahoma program will be available in Spring 2019. Host site agencies receive training and support to help make sure they are able to make the most their AmeriCorps partnership.
2019-2020 Host Site Applications
Applications to host Healthy Futures Oklahoma AmeriCorps Members are due by 5:00 pm June 7, 2019.

Host site awards will be sent out mid to late July. All awards are pending availability of grant funds.
